Metallica, Lars Ulrich: “Non capisco le critiche a ‘Lulu’, è un album invecchiato benissimo”.

Intervistato da Loudwire, Lars Ulrich – batterista dei Metallica – è tornato a parlare dei “Lulu”: album pubblicato dal gruppo nel 2011, assieme a Lou Reed, prontamente bocciato all’epoca dai fan del gruppo. “Cosa cazzo aveva ‘Lulu’ per ricevere simili critiche?”, si è chiesto il musicista, “Non riesco a capire. Ad ogni modo devo riconoscere che è invecchiato molto bene. Suona ancora alla grande. Sono dell’idea che quelle reazioni siano state dettate dall’ignoranza…quel disco ha permesso ai nostri sostenitori di esplorare nuovi territori che mi piacerebbe esplorassero più spesso. Sarebbe forse stato meglio farlo uscire ora, con tutto il casino che c’è nel mondo. Non so veramente che dire, io sono molto orgoglioso di quel lavoro”.
Condiviso due settimane fa l’inedito “If Darkness Had A Son”, i Metallica pubblicheranno il prossimo 14 aprile il nuovo “72 Seasons”: undicesimo disco in studio della band, prodotto da Greg Fidelman assieme a James Hetfield e Lars Ulrich, annunciato a novembre e anticipato negli scorsi mesi dai primi due singoli estratti “Lux Æterna” e “Screaming Suicide”.
