Dopo tre anni dall’uscita di Free, Iggy Pop torna sulle scene con un album studio, il diciannovesimo da solista, dal titolo Every Loser, disponibile dal 6 gennaio 2023 grazie alla partnership recentemente annunciata tra Atlantic Records e Gold Tooth Records, etichetta di Andrew Watt, produttore del disco. Ad anticiparlo sono i singoli Frenzy e Strung Out Johnny, che segnano il ritorno dell’Iguana alle origini punk e post-punk del passato.
Inoltre, sono stati resi noti i nomi che hanno contribuito alla realizzazione di Every Loser: l’album vede la collaborazione di Duff McKagan dei Guns N’ Roses al basso e Chad Smith dei Red Hot Chili Peppers alla batteria, assieme ad altri colleghi del calibro di Travis Barker, batterista nei Blink-182, Dave Navarro, Eric Avery e Chris Chaney presenti nei Jane’s Addiction e il compianto Taylor Hawkins, batterista dei Foo Fighters. Il disco è già disponibile in pre-order in diversi formati: musicassetta, vinile colorato azzurro e in un bundle contenente anche una fanzine e un poster autografato. Lo scorso anno il frontman degli Stooges ha duettato con i nostrani Måneskin,in una versione del singolo I Wanna Be Your Slave del quartetto romano.
In uscita il 20 gennaio con il nuovo album "RUSH!", i Måneskin annunciano una speciale quanto inattesa collaborazione con il già chitarrista dei Rage Against The Machine - ex Audioslave e Prophets Of Rage - Tom Morello, ospite del gruppo nel brano "GOSSIP": disponibile, questo, dal 13 dello stesso mese.
